Sarah and Chase’s new bathroom getaway
Barrington, IL
This was already a great space but it just did not match our clients style so never truly felt like a getaway. It had the perfect infrastructure to do a cost effective remodel. New floor and wall tile, custom wood paneling and added bench storage, new glass shower surround, new soaking tub and updated fixtures. Now it truly felt relaxing and felt like home.
Mackenzie and Joe’s Kitchen Refresh
Lake Zurich, IL
As a new home owner you want to transform the space to fit you and what feels like home. That’s where we step in and help you solidify your vision and make it come to life. This is a small space but has a lot going on. Ceramic tile, custom woodwork including a wine rack, countertops, cabinetry, wall panels, paint, light and plumbing fixtures, appliances.
Dean and Maggie’s Kitchen Update
Lake Bluff, IL
What if you have a huge kitchen and great layout but it looks like 2001? That’s not who you are. We can sit down and explore what a space that you would be proud to throw a party in looks like. That's how we got here. Painted cabinets and replaced hardware, new countertops, wall tile, sink and fixtures, lighting. This has an entirely new vibe with no major disruptive or invasive remodel, we were able to salvage almost all of the critical infrastructure.
ABOUT ME
Meet the Founder — The Story Behind Forge and Oak
I didn’t grow up with blueprints in my hand or a paintbrush in my pocket — but I’ve always been drawn to spaces that feel different. Spaces where the details aren’t loud, but they speak. Where craftsmanship isn’t just visible — it’s felt.
For over a decade, I worked in commercial construction, managing large-scale projects that were built fast and built to spec. But something was missing: soul. The work was technical, relentless, and efficient — but rarely beautiful. I began to crave slower, more intentional projects. Ones where quality mattered more than quantity. Where I could obsess over a miter joint, a texture, a light fixture. Where I could build spaces people actually loved to live in.
That’s why I founded Forge and Oak — to marry two of my greatest values: craftsmanship and character. “Forge” stands for the hands-on grit it takes to make something excellent. “Oak” represents the warmth, strength, and timelessness I want every space to embody.
Today, I lead a small, design-driven studio focused on high-end residential remodels. We keep our project list short on purpose — so every client gets our full attention, and every detail gets the care it deserves. We work with a trusted team of artisans and subcontractors, selected not just for skill, but for pride in their craft.
This work is personal. Every space we build carries a part of my story — and becomes part of yours.
Let’s create something enduring.
